DG BOSS: Truck Driver (FN)
- Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or Supervisor.
- Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
- Operates truck and other equipment to move materials, tools, and equipment to and from work locations in support of construction and maintenance activities and/or delivering/picking up operating building materials and supplies.
- Transporting crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from specified locations.
- Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
- Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the truck.
- Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
- Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Observes and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Considerable knowledge and skill in the operation and servicing of various automotive and complex construction equipment.
- Considerable knowledge of the hazards involved in equipment operation and the safety precautions necessary.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, and checking oil and water levels.
- Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
- Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
- Must have a valid country of origin Professional Driver's License with the following license codes (B, B1, B2, C, D, BE, and CE) and be able to operate the assigned vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING
- Completing any Heavy Equipment Operation training and certification is highly desired.
EDUCATION:
- Must be at least a High School, Technical, or Vocational Course Graduate.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a Truck Driver and in plant operations.
