We are seeking an energetic and experienced Associate Director to join our Water Team within the AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure business. You will be part of a talented, multi-disciplinary team delivering cutting-edge and iconic projects for key water sector clients, including Uisce Éireann, Design & Build contractors, and UK water companies.

As a senior member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transformational programmes for critical Irish infrastructure, with opportunities to contribute to landmark projects both domestically and internationally. We are committed to delivering industry-leading solutions across the full project lifecycle, adding value through technical excellence, client-side advisory roles, and construction-phase support.

Your role

As an Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical and people leadership to a team of Water Engineers delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects in accordance with national and project-specific design standards.
• Working closely with Project Managers to manage programme, budgets, and delivery against key milestones.
• Taking responsibility for the production, review, and approval of high-quality technical deliverables, including reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
• Acting as a senior technical leader within the discipline across UK & Ireland, influencing best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Growing, developing, and managing Water Engineering capability within the Irish business.
• Exercising sound professional judgement in complex situations and providing mentorship and guidance to junior and developing engineers.
• Advising clients and project teams on technical, operational, and strategic matters.
• Leading or contributing to the technical aspects of bids and proposals.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across UK, Ireland, and overseas to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions.
