This position reports to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Measurement and Analytical Department in South Africa ( AUMA).

You will be mainly accountable for: Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.

• Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
• Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
• Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Daily PR to PO conversion.
• Creating PO's for products purchased from Global Internal Factories. Core purchasing function.
• Overseeing all imports, import documents control.

Qualifications for the Role

• Ability to demonstrate your experience in Procurement and Logistics skills
• You have 3 years of experience in Procurement and Logistics of imported products.
  Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP, MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• You are passionate about your career and your own wellbeing, should be self-driven and be able to work under minimal supervision. Team player and respectful always.
• Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management. Have demonstrated extensive knowledge & proven experience of Procurement and Logistics.
• At ease communicating in English.
