Wood is currently looking for an Instrument Engineer to join our team here in Baku

• Performs assignments through the application of I&C engineering theories, techniques, and practices. Applies relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry practices in the development and delivery of engineering outputs. Supports Senior / Principal / Lead I&C Engineers in the execution of industrial, large, and complex projects while gaining exposure to engineering procedures and processes.

• Ensures that all work is completed in compliance with technical requirements and internal Wood processes.
• Ensures that I&C discipline deliverables meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates basic knowledge of Instrumentation & Control engineering fundamentals to perform routine design and engineering tasks.

• Supports material selection and technical evaluation for I&C packages and components (e.g., flowmeters, valves, pressure/temperature/density instruments, analyzers, conductivity, concentration measurement, DCS, API systems, etc.).
• Applies basic I&C principles to installation specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Maintains technical competence to consistently deliver high‑quality, accurate, and timely work.
• Possesses foundational knowledge of:
• Material and technology selection
• Field conditions and requirements
• Instrumentation and control concepts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Provides engineering support on tasks assigned by Senior / Principal / Lead I&C Engineers during proposal and project phases.

• Prepares bills of materials, I&C schematics, layouts, and other documents based on customer specifications to support project estimates and deliverables.
• Produces I&C engineering deliverables as required.
• Develops I&C specifications, datasheets, and material requisitions.

• Prepares I&C requisitions and related annexes for inquiries.
• Supports Senior / Principal / Lead Engineers in conducting technical bid evaluations for I&C packages and vendor offers
• Minimum of a 4‑year technical engineering degree recognized by the state.

• Relevant disciplines: Instrumentation, Control Systems, Automation.
• 2 to 3 years of overall experience
• Technical experience in the I&C discipline within the Oil & Gas industry or a similar industrial sector.
