Job Summary
The Cloud Support Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality operational support, deployment assistance, and technical guidance for SLB cloud-based solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments. The role ensures the reliable operation of digital applications within DELFI and associated platforms, supports customer onboarding and solution adoption, and resolves complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and data workflows.
This position collaborates closely with internal engineering teams, Geounits, solution teams, and customers to ensure cloud solutions are deployed efficiently, securely, and according to SLB best practices.

The Cloud Support Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality operational support, deployment assistance, and technical guidance for SLB cloud-based solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments. The role ensures the reliable operation of digital applications within DELFI and associated platforms, supports customer onboarding and solution adoption, and resolves complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and data workflows.
This position collaborates closely with internal engineering teams, Geounits, solution teams, and customers to ensure cloud solutions are deployed efficiently, securely, and according to SLB best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and support cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) in alignment with SLB security and governance standards.
- Provide technical support for incidents, service requests, and deployment activities related to cloud-hosted applications and infrastructure.
- Assist Geounits and internal customers throughout solution design, onboarding, deployment, and adoption of DELFI cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues involving web applications, backend services, networking, and IaaS components across multi-cloud environments.
- Support data loading, migration, transformation, and integration activities.
- Deploy and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of cloud-hosted applications.
- Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and best practices for cloud operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Support installation and configuration of on-premises or hybrid applications when applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes container technologies.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and API-based integrations (REST/JSON/XML).
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC/VNet, IAM, firewalls, routing).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across applications, infrastructure, and data layers.
- Effective communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced English, Fluent Portuguese
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of data operations (ETL, data quality, data governance).
- Exposure to OSDU, DELFI workflows, or SLB Enterprise Data Management solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting microservices, virtualization, and distributed systems.
- Background supporting multi-region or multi-cloud environments.
