KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Participates in the scheduling, preparation and execution of major rig maintenance associated with RIAP projects to ensure that tasks are completed in a cost effective manner. This includes defining activities with concerned Operations and Maintenance personnel, ensuring that all preventive maintenance, inspection, re-certification, repair, overhaul and modifications' requirements are included in such scope of works. The activities also include allotment of resources and all relevant information that may be required for controlling the activity.
- Ensures that equipment data for new Rigs/Equipment is identified, prepared and structured ready for uploading to the CMMS prior to commissioning.
- Reviews new equipment standard procedures, maintenance frequencies; equipment maintenance priority and nature (critical or non-critical); cost evaluation for assets replacements/modifications together with planned resources against actual (Labour, Materials & Tools), model data and historical information. Collects and prepares data on new equipment for the CMMS including, spec sheets, failure hierarchy, safety plans, procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, resourcing, condition monitoring and measurement points.
- Analyses project and work order data to establish or update information on time scales, tasks, sequences, skills, manpower materials, equipment, contractors and costs, providing such information to maintenance personnel. Produces customised analytical graphical reports covering areas such as planning, materials control and equipment management, performance indicators, backlog and failure trends, forecast models, etc.
- Reviews equipment coding to ensure that equipment is correctly coded and the characteristics defined. Ensures that equipment is identified with a unique identity number. Ensures the updating of data related to fixed assets including movements, descriptions, characteristics and history together with certification details.
- Carries out system enhancements; changes in workflow and business practices, user support for the relevant modules of SAP. Ensures that users are kept updated, trained and supported for any new enhancement/change in the software
- Participates in the preparation of annual requirements for budget including scope of activities, scheduling of activities, allocation of resources etc.
- Visit rigs to review the Major Maintenance and upgrade requirement in RIAP projects and EPC projects. Advise rig crew on the features of the SAP system and access their knowledge and skill for utilising the capabilities of the system. Submits reports and recommends additional training if considered necessary.
- Performs related duties as assigned, such as providing general support to Senior Project Engineers at site while executing major projects, participating in the preparation of project contracts scope in relation to anticipated work for budget purposes; coordinating with counterparts in other operating areas and IT personnel on system related issues and the like.
- All other jobs such as keeping and follow up records of the KPIs or as assigned by the Team Leaders, or by Vice President, Engineering and Projects.
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
Generic Accountabilities Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
- Provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
- Implement approved Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
- Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Has frequent contacts with Operations and Maintenance Personnel to obtain details of and discuss schedules and follow up on maintenance work requirements;
- Maintains occasional contacts with Procurement Division to follow up on fixed asset issues and back-up pool related matters.
- Frequent contact with IT personnel on system related issues.
6 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 5 years' maintenance experience in an Oil or Gas company, including site activities and planning experience.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Computer literacy, including use of planning system software and other spreadsheet and database systems
