This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute medium to large-scale projects across ABB's Electrification, Automation, and Motion businesses. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with ABB procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets.

You will also showcase your skills by leading project team members to meet project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet agreed project results.

This is an evergreen requisition - ABB is continuously building a pipeline of highly motivated and innovative Project Engineers for upcoming opportunities across multiple locations in India including Nashik, Bangalore, Faridabad, and Vadodara.

Work model: #LI-Onsite / #LI-Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals

• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery

• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, while ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued

• Ensuring the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract terms

• Coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, quality, and operations to ensure seamless project execution

• Ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications for the role

Education: B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (Full-time)

Experience: 2-15 years in project engineering and execution

Practical experience in the following areas:

• LV/MV/HV Motors and Generators

• LV/MV Switchgear and control systems

• VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) based projects

• DCS (Distributed Control Systems)

• PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)

• SCADA systems

• Field Instrumentation Products (Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature)

• Analytical Products (Gas Chromatographs, Analyzer Systems)

Industry experience:

• Energy and Utilities sector

• Process Industries (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Metals & Mining)

• EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects

• Manufacturing and industrial automation

Tools & Systems:

• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera / SAP

• Solid understanding of project management methodologies

Skills:

• End-to-end project planning and execution capabilities

• Solid methodological and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder management

• Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams

• Customer-focused approach with commitment to quality and safety
