Your role and responsibilities

ABB's Drive Products Division is establishing a new, modern Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Genk, Belgium. The RDC will operate in close collaboration with a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) partner, and we are now looking for a Trade & Transportation Coordinator to join our new location.

In this role, you will coordinate domestic and international transportation activities and manage export documentation to ensure the compliant, cost‑effective, and timely movement of goods throughout the supply chain. You will oversee daily transport bookings through our TMS system, maintain accurate export and transportation documentation, and ensure smooth communication with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal teams. A key objective is to secure seamless material flow, minimize delays, and support accurate and reliable deliveries while ensuring adherence to trade regulations and company policies.

You will play an important role in the continuous development of our order‑to‑delivery processes.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Plan, book, and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation across road, air, and sea modes.
• Prepare, verify, and manage all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, transport documents, declarations, and certificates of origin.
• Together with Helsinki's customer service team, secure export bookings, shipping instructions, and delivery coordination with freight forwarders and carriers.
• Communicate with carriers, 3PL partner, and freight forwarders to ensure availability, correct rout-ing, and timely pick ups/deliveries.
• Prepare and maintain transportation documentation, including shipping instructions, delivery notes, and supporting trade documents.
• Collaborate closely with production planning, warehousing, customer service, procurement, and 3PL teams to secure seamless end to end flow.
• Participate in logistics, transportation, and trade process development.

Qualifications for the role

• Strong understanding of transportation logistics, freight management, customs procedures and trade-related processes.
• Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, trade documentation, and basic customs requirements.
• Good coordination and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage daily operational priorities and resolve transportation issues under time pressure.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with experience in KPI tracking, reporting, and issue root cause identification.
• Familiarity with ERP/TMS systems; experience with SAP or similar tools is an advantage.
• Relevant education in logistics, supply chain, or international trade (or equivalent experience).
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are an asset.
