Key Accountabilities and challenges
The Senior Analyst - PR Creation supports the business by managing the end-to-end creation and processing of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in procurement systems such as SAP / Ariba. The role ensures that requisitions are accurately created, compliant with BP procurement policies, and aligned with business requirements.
This role acts as a key interface between business requestors, procurement teams, and finance, ensuring timely and accurate PR creation to support sourcing and purchasing activities. The Senior Analyst also drives process improvements, maintains data quality, and supports operational efficiency within procurement operations.

Purchase Requisition Management
- Create and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) based on approved business requirements within procurement systems.
- Validate PR details including cost center, GL codes, vendor information, contract references, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure requisitions are accurate, complete, and aligned with procurement and financial policies.
- Monitor PR status and support timely approval workflows.
Reporting & Data Management
- Track PR creation volumes, turnaround time, and backlog metrics.
- Provide operational reports and insights to support procurement performance monitoring.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain system integrity in procurement platforms.
- Support Squads to implement timely and disruptive improvements in existing processes delivering better value and experience.
- Inspire, coach, and partner with business partners and 3rd party vendors to deliver outcomes whilst ensuring an inclusive culture.
- Resolve issues that are escalated by the team.
- Ensure compliance to relevant policies that may differ from country to country whenever possible, failing which may result in a negative impact on bp.
Expectations
- Managing the day-to-day work activities, including providing support to team members, and ensuring the vital skills and experience are available to meet the challenges of a demanding and complex workload.
- High level of familiarity with the systems used to maintain and reconcile the relevant system to ensure it balances correctly.
- Purchase orders created are of high monetary value; therefore, a high attention to detail is required to ensure complete processing accuracy.
- Purchase orders created reviewed thoroughly to ensure completeness and accuracy to safeguard the company from financial and reputational risk.
- Maintain good relationships with external stakeholders to facilitate service delivery excellence.
- Liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders in different time zones and potentially in different languages requiring rigorous coordination between teams.
- Ability to communicate and influence across different levels in the organisation.

- Working hours UK shift (12:30PM to 21:30PM) to support Business Partners
4. Qualifications, Competencies & Mindset
Essential Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in management, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 4-7 years of relevant procurement experience managing a client-service oriented function with experience in management of large corporate initiatives/projects, critical thinking, relationship management and processes.
- Strong understanding of procurement and general accounting practices with detailed knowledge of accounts payable practices
- Proficient in PSCM applications including SRM/SAP, ARIBA, and Salesforce
- Experience of working cross culturally and in an international environment
- Experience in using ERP, advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication
- Preferred: Experience supporting Customers & Products (C&P) or retail/fuels business operations
- Preferred: Knowledge of procurement compliance and financial controls
- Preferred: Exposure to process improvement frameworks (Lean / Six Sigma)
