Job Title: SAP Technical Lead

Overview
We are supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced SAP Technical Lead to take ownership of their technical SAP landscape. This is a key role responsible for ensuring system stability, performance, and security, while driving high-quality technical delivery across a complex enterprise environment.

You will play a hands-on leadership role, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP technical delivery across development, system administration, and security domains

• Ensure the stability, performance, and security of SAP platforms and integrated systems

• Deliver technical design, development, and troubleshooting for complex solutions

• Act as the escalation point for critical technical and production issues

• Oversee development standards, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices

• Manage system landscapes, including transports, upgrades, and release cycles

• Maintain and enhance system security, access controls, and compliance frameworks

• Monitor system performance and ensure robust incident and recovery processes

• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Review and govern third-party vendor deliverables and technical designs

• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and optimisation initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP technical roles

• Strong experience across development, system administration, and security

• Proven ability to lead or mentor technical teams

• Hands-on experience in technical design, development, and debugging

• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and middleware

• Experience supporting audits, compliance, and access control frameworks

• Ability to manage complex technical environments and stakeholders effectively
