RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership as the mechanical equipment engineer for assigned projects and equipment packages
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.Support other disciplines for mechanical equipment selection, plot space, dimension etc. suit for the application
- Participate in equipment selection, layout planning, and design coordination
- Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and requisition documents for inquiries and purchase orders
- Perform technical bid evaluations and prepare reports supporting vendor selection
- (Optional but advantageous) Experience in Life‑Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis will be considered a plus
- Lead technical discussions and meetings with clients and suppliers
- Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements (P&IDs, data sheets, GA drawings, calculations, test procedures, etc.)
- Support project activities including risk assessments, design reviews, constructability, and HAZOP
- Attend inspection meetings and witness FAT/SAT as required
- Provide site support during installation, start‑up, and commissioning
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to help project success
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a valid Engineering License
- At least 3 years' experience in rotating equipment, packaged equipment, or material handling equipment for process plant projects (Refinery / Chemical / Petrochemical / Power / Oil & Gas)
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, ISO, API, BS, NFPA, PIP)
- Hands‑on experience in equipment selection, specification development, requisitioning, technical bid evaluation, and supplier document review
- Organized, proactive, and able to solve problems effectively under pressure
- Positive attitude, adaptable, and team‑oriented with strong leadership potential
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills
