Key Responsibilities
System-Level Inspection Technology Development
- Lead the architecture, design, and integration of end-to-end inspection systems, including sensors, electronics, data acquisition, and analytics.
- Translate inspection requirements and performance targets into system specifications and test plans.
- Own system-level trade-off decisions across hardware, software, and inspection performance.
Signal Analytics and Inverse Problem Solving
- Develop and implement signal analytics methods for processing, denoising, and interpreting inspection data.
- Formulate and solve inverse problems to infer material states, defects, or geometry from measured signals.
- Drive implementation of advanced algorithms (e.g., optimization, reconstruction, classification) to improve detection and characterization.
Sensor Technology and Miniaturization
- Lead efforts in sensor selection, design, and miniaturization for embedded, portable, or integrated inspection solutions.
- Evaluate and optimize sensor performance, robustness, and reliability in realistic operating environments.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to integrate miniaturized sensors into inspection platforms.
Technical Leadership and Mentoring
- Provide technical leadership on inspection technology, signal analytics, and system integration topics.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and scientists on system-level thinking and hands-on implementation.
- Review designs, algorithms, and test results to ensure technical rigor and alignment with project objectives.
Testing, Validation, and Continuous Improvement
- Plan and lead system-level tests, pilots, and validation activities in lab and field environments.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement in sensitivity, robustness, and usability.
- Document system behavior, limitations, and lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, operations, quality, and product management teams to ensure inspection solutions meet business and customer needs.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to roadmaps, proposals, and strategy for inspection technologies and related products.
Required Qualifications
- Industry Experience
- 10-15 years of industry experience in inspection or medical imaging technology, sensor systems, signal analytics, or closely related areas.
- System-Level Expertise
- Proven track record building complete systems (from concept to deployment) that integrate sensors, data acquisition, and signal processing.
- Demonstrated experience solving system-level challenges, including integration, performance optimization, and robustness in real-world environments.
- Hands-on experience debugging and resolving issues across hardware, firmware/software, and analytics.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Technical Skills
- Strong background in industrial inspection technology/medical imaging technology and sensor-based measurement systems.
- Deep experience in signal analytics, including time- and frequency-domain methods, filtering, feature extraction, and pattern recognition.
- Practical experience with sensor miniaturization, packaging, and integration into constrained or embedded environments.
- Experience with inverse problems, including problem formulation, regularization, and numerical solution methods.
- Proficiency with programming or analysis tools (such as MATLAB, Python, or similar) for algorithm development and data analysis.

- Ability to break down complex system-level problems into actionable tasks and solutions.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills and comfort working with incomplete or noisy data.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on reliability, quality, and repeatability.

- Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams and influence system architecture decisions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to document approaches, summarize results, and present recommendations.
