Contributes to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in their assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Supports the business by applying in-depth HSE &security knowledge and offering solutions and advice. Ensures effective risk management through. HSE & Security excellence along the ABB ROBOTICS value chain.

Your role and responsibilities
Contributes to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in their assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Supports the business by applying in-depth HSE &security knowledge and offering solutions and advice. Ensures effective risk management through. HSE & Security excellence along the ABB ROBOTICS value chain.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Facilitates HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented
- Reports HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions
- Facilitates, assists, and provides guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks
- Provides feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB ROBOTICS
- Supports the HSE Manager in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required
- Assists the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and group/business-specific requirements
- Supports and drives behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices
- Supports and embeds an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong focus on the environment across country organization
- Ensures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively
- Contributes to and/or plans and executes HSE-related projects
- Develops project objectives and reports the progress to management
- Monitors, responds to, manages and, where appropriate, escalates all business travel/security-related incidents and risks
- Acts as the subject matter expert for the management team(s) on security matters, in their assigned area of responsibility
- Conducts employee interviews on security incidents, with the relevant parties and records the findings in the prescribed format
- Provides technical security advice, in coordination with the relevant internal partners (e.g., real estate, business units, Security Program Managers), including site selection and installation of efficient physical and procedural security measures, for the existing facilities and any potential new offices
- Coordinates security arrangements for ABB ROBOTICS-sponsored conferences, training, and other external events held within their assigned area of responsibility
Qualifications for the role
- Certified HSE Specialist with a B or A class certificate
- At least 5 years of experience in risk management, regulations and compliance, and process improvement and optimization
- Experience in coordinating audits, training, and safety programs
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Security)
- Experience in security risk assessment & mitigation strategies
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Electrical Safety experience is an advantage (in electrical equipments installation, maintenance, and commissioning processes,etc.)
- No obstacle for traveling
- Turkish knowledge is a must
- Upper-intermediate English skills
