SLB is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially focused individual to join our Edmonton Integration Center as a Purchasing Leader. In this role, you will oversee daily procurement operations, ensuring goods and services are purchased efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with SLB standards and business objectives. You will lead and develop a team of Procurement Specialists, promote strict compliance with procurement procedures, and maintain strong collaboration with Production, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and Logistics. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong supplier and internal relationships, and brings a continuous improvement mindset to drive better performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence. Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and develop Procurement Specialists to ensure a high-performing, compliant, and customer-focused procurement team.
- Lead daily procurement operations and execute the purchasing plan in alignment with the Product Line master schedule and center objectives.
- Participate in production plan reviews and collaborate with Customer Service, Production, and Supply Chain teams to determine demand and ensure continuity of supply.
- Manage the full PO lifecycle, including maintaining open and past-due POs, controlling non-BOM purchases, and ensuring accurate purchasing parameters.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement action plans to reduce lead times, optimize costs, and improve on-time delivery.
- Identify and address financial variances, working with Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders to drive resourcing and cost improvement opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or certification in Supply Chain is considered an asset.
- 4-5 years of planning or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience within Oil & Gas manufacturing is considered an asset.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required. Experience with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems is an asset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a global, multicultural, and inclusive workplace built on respect and diversity.
- Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
