About the role:
The Price Book Systems and Process Advisor is responsible for owning the EDI and suggested ordering programs, training, and supporting price book teams to ensure consistent execution of merchandising strategies across assigned locations. This role ensures accurate and timely execution of price book initiatives
With a focus on the systems and process across all categories, including communication to internal teams and distributors. This role serves as a key liaison between finance, field operation teams, and vendors to drive EDI range, brand compliance, and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities :
• Provide clear direction, mentor, and support to teams across multiple locations
• Ensure pricing accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of price changes and promotions
• Support store openings, remodels, and transitions with suggested ordering solutions
• Identify and implement process improvements and standards
• Be responsible for the adoption of new technologies, data analytics, and automation
• Collaborate with category management to develop and implement merchandise strategies
• Build positive relationships with internal and external partners to achieve business objectives
• Facilitate effective communication between merchandising, category management, and operations
• Handle ERP systems (PDI, S2K, SAP) and process for Price Book teams
• Provide support cross-functionally with reporting, pricing, distributor opportunities, invoicing and technical issues
• Develop and maintain system process manuals and training
• Manage auto replenishment and suggested order development and improvement
• Facilitate the days of supply maintenance for all categories on suggested ordering
• Develop process and collaborate with operations and internal audit teams to enhance UPC level counts to support suggested ordering
• Partner with distributors to increase EDI and suggested ordering efficiencies
• Analyze suggested order item performance via overstock/out of stock data to gain inventory reduction/cost savings opportunities
• Coordinate with field operations to evaluate functionality of the suggested ordering system
• Handle and supervise program changes for the suggested ordering system including Planogram imports
• Collaborate with team to ensure new item setup and discontinued process for Planogram changes
• Be responsible for store opening/closing and reset orders supporting liquidation processes
• Manage sales forecasting tools including events to prevent overstocks for promos and liquidations
• Be responsible for ERP integration with shelf tag process including save settings
• Run EDI FTP connections, development and testing
• Communicate EDI updates and issues cross-functionally with accounting, operations, distributors and IT
• Procure new EDI partners
• Handle relations to collaborate cross-functionally for testing across all price book and ERP processes including but not limited to suggested ordering and EDI
• Identify process improvement and team training opportunities and collaborate with Coordinators to document and implement
• Provide support cross-functionally on Price Book and ERP issues
• Partner with Price Book Manager for activity and participation coverage across multiple projects
Experience & Qualification:
• Experience in merchandising, retail price book, replenishment, or related operational roles
• Familiarity with merchandising systems (e.g. PDI, S2K, SAP IS Retail, Blue Yonder / JDA)
• Strong understanding of Planogram execution, merchandising standards, and retail environments, including performance-based metrics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of FTP connection management
• Solid understanding of SQL database connections setup
• Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Accounting or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in Inventory Accounting, SAP, Accounts Payable or related field
• Shared Service Center experience preferred
• Solid analytical and financial accounting skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer management skills
• English proficiency: B2-C2
