The Onshore Inspection Focal Point is required to progress their identified job tasks in a safe, diligent and efficient manner as directed by their Line Manager and in compliance with company procedures. This role is responsible for assisting with the day to day coordination / delivery of Inspection services on the TAQA contract.

The position holder will carry out these duties with a focus on high quality service delivery and in strict adherence to the company's principles of independence and impartiality.

Provide daily operational support to the Client and Bilfinger stakeholders i.e. Operations, Recruitment, HR, Payroll, Commercial, HSEQ, T&C & Stores.

Coordinate the day to day operations for all inspection personnel (regular and adhoc) to company and client procedure(s)
  • Update rota's, raise and amend personnel requisitions within company nominated systems
  • Complete premobilisation Qualification Checklists in a timely, auditable manner
  • Review training compliance & authorisation status, liase with T&C Dept to overcome any gaps and escalate to PM where necessary
  • Coordinate / attend premobilisation briefs
  • Submit OPIR seat booking requests as required
  • Review / approve offshore weekly timesheets
  • Complete 1st pass review of labour Invoices, investigate any discrepancies before Client issue.
  • Arrange the issue and return of TLD badges for Classified workers on the project
  • Review / approve offshore holiday requests and expenses in line with company procedures
  • Represent and maintain positive communication channels with offshore workforce
  • Complete nominated offshore site visits
  • Coordinate / manage plant & equipment (regular and adhoc) on TAQA assets
  • Regularly view plant reports to ensure equipment levels are adequate for operational needs
  • Order equipment within company systems, liaise with stores & shipping departments to ensure timely mobilisation and offhire of equipment
  • Complete 1st pass review of equipment invoices, investigate any discrepancies before Client issue
  • Support PM in coordinating the activities of sub-contractor/3rd Parties as required
  • Support PM in coordinating the activities of specialist / ANDT workscopes
  • Attend and contribute to client and company meeting such as Quarterly Performance Reviews, Planning and HSE meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentation materials for such meetings
  • Assist Project Manager where required
  • Provide cover for Project Manager where required


Qualification & Competencies
  • Experience working in support of offshore energy industry projects
  • Experience related to in-service inspection projects (desirable)
  • Knowledge / understanding of of British, European and International Standards relative to Safety, Environment & Quality requirements.
  • Proficient in use of SAP or similar, MPOWER t/writing system, Microsoft packages.
  • Industry Company and Client specific training / safety critical requirements as per Recruitment Procedure BMS-HR-REC-VRO-V01
  • Minimum of 2 Highers / Advanced Highers / A levels or equivalent.
  • OPITO and MIST Offshore Safety Training desirable
  • Position holder must have the potential to advance/progress to a higher level of management, desirable.
