Job Description Summary

The Senior Counsel - Global Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption is the owner of GE Aerospace ABAC compliance program. In this role, you will be directly responsible for managing (a) understanding the risk globally and, in close collaboration with key business stakeholders, (b) maintaining risk controls sufficiently robust to allow the business to effectively manage these risks.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Deeply understand the ABAC risk, which means (a) having an intimate familiarity with the laws, regulations, and case law relevant to the risk and how it develps; and (b) understanding how the risk is manifesting itself in GE Aerospace specifically.
  • Keep current on global regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and other key developments and leveraging external learnings to further your internal risk management strategy.
  • Maintain an understanding the risk controls used to manage this risk area, and (where appropriate) monitor & test the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk controls, always striving to ensure that they are capable - in application - of (a) operating as designed and (b) managing the ABAC risk as intended and adjusting them when not.
  • Be aware of and appropriately analyze available internal data to gain insights into trends, discrete concerns, and potentially gaps or weaknesses in existing risk controls.
  • Oversee, monitor, and (where appropriate) improve enterprise-wide ABAC processes and controls with the consistent goal of ensuring GE Aerospace is - through the processes and controls - capable of effectively managing the risk areas.
  • Act as subject matter expert on relevant anti-corruption and anti-money laundering laws and regulations, including the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, United States money laundering statutes, the United Kingdom Bribery Act, and other global anti-corruption legislation.
  • Provide legal advice, training, and support principally related to compliance issues to multi-functional teams embedded throughout the GE Aerospace.
  • Drive initiatives to forecast emerging risks within the business and implement solutions to manage those risks.
  • Understand the complexities of ABAC risk associated with operating in a matrixed business with substantial government contracting and interactions, advise the business on risk mitigation, and support the development of digital tools to embed compliance processes throughout the business.
  • Investigate and advise on compliance concerns, manage and advise on audits of internal teams and external counterparties relating to emerging risks, implement corrective actions, and develop strategies that will continue to strengthen a world class compliance culture.
  • Utilize FLIGHT DECK to simplify processes and reduce cycle time, including development of standard practices and web-based tools.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive compliance training to the business relating to relevant areas of risk.
  • Anticipate and drive solutions for unassigned legal and business issues and growth initiatives.
  • Manage referral of matters to in-house legal specialists and occasionally outside counsel.


Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate from accredited university
  • At least 7 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Member in good standing with a State Bar.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of their time
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

The base pay range for this position is $181,000 - $280,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on May 4th 2026.
