The Next Generation Narrow Body Primary Gearbox (PGB) Industrial Leader will join the Industrial Management team that coordinates the industrial activities of new strategic program, for which the Industrial Management team is the Supply Chain primary interface.
In this role you will provide technical and management leadership during the Program execution along the technological maturation and development phases. You will define development plans for the Primary Gearbox product throughout the Supply Chain, being responsible for the plan execution and deliveries, coordinating all the Product Centers and the involved functions within Supply Chain (Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Sourcing) and other relevant functions, being the Supply Chain primary interface for the Engineering team responsible for the design and technology maturation of the Modules, and reporting to Supply Chain Product Leader.

The goals of this role will mainly consist in matching the program milestones in terms of readiness and delivery and technological maturation plan execution, evaluating and managing manufacturing and readiness risks, supporting Manufacturing Cost control.
You will be based in Rivalta site, travelling to other Avio Aero sites, to supplier's and abroad is expected to cover specific program needs.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the industrialization and readiness of the PGB module
  • Be responsible for the readiness and execution within the Supply Chain of the Maturation Plans (Manufacturing Readiness Level) of the PGB and the integration with the Demonstrating vehicles and Engine program plans
  • Be responsible for the Delivery Management of area of competence
  • Create and execute integrated plans according to the Program Target and the Program Integrated Master Schedule
  • Provide Technical leadership to the cross-functional teams during the execution of the maturation plan
  • Proactively identify, detect, prevent and manage risks that may have impacts on technical success, timing of execution and compliance of the program, using Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and other tools according to APQP approach
  • Be responsible for Program Control Board preparation for his/her area of competence
  • Be responsible for reporting-out to Leadership team
  • Support Program Management Team on Program MOR preparation
  • Monitor the program progress (reporting relevant KPIs) at the operating rhythm (WOR, MOR)


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Engineering Master's degree, Mechanical or Aeronautical preferred
  • Good technical competence on products and processes, obtained in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering Previous experience
  • Previous experience in New Product Introduction development projects/programs
  • Experience in Technological and Manufacturing Readiness maturation process
  • Prior program/project management experience with proven ability to lead others in a matrix environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Italian and Fluent English language, oral and written
  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required

  • Previous experience leading multi-discipline engineering/technical teams
  • Strong influencing skills in a global environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong process discipline with sound analytic and statistical skills
  • Know-how in APQP/AS13100 and LEAN principles and methods
  • Change oriented - actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
