Your role and responsibilities

Leading a global team of direct tax professionals, you will foster cohesion and demonstrate operational leadership. You will be working with Global Tax Process Office, Global Tax Operations Lead, and Direct Tax Practice team to drive operational excellence, incl. standardization, automation and simplification for direct tax processes including provisioning.

You will manage outsourcing service provider relationships, evaluate service options, and determine best insourcing and outsourcing solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Drive the rollout of the Tax Operations operating model, transforming country-based structures into a process‑centric organization and eliminating functional silos within Direct Tax.
• Align the global Direct Tax Operation Center with CF‑TA vision, policies, and the Global Process Owner (GPO) framework, ensuring seamless integration with Direct Tax Practice Team standards.
• Implement global Direct Tax processes designed by the Direct Tax Practice Team and GPO, and ensure consistent end‑to‑end compliance delivery across all regions.
• Promote process standardization and harmonization, including global SOP development, deviation analysis, and continuous improvement of end‑to‑end Direct Tax activities.
• Identify and lead automation and AI initiatives to streamline processes, improve accuracy, enhance operational efficiency, and support the Tax GPO Digital Strategy.
• Build strong collaboration with global and local stakeholders, including the Direct Tax Practice Team and multiple delivery teams, enabling smooth execution of global compliance workstreams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal control integrity, safeguarding the accuracy, completeness, and auditability of Direct Tax processes across all jurisdictions.
• Drive resource and capacity planning, including budgeting, workload management, and optimal allocation of internal and external delivery resources.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with external tax compliance providers, ensuring an optimal balance of insourcing vs. outsourcing while maintaining cost control and quality.
• Promote team development, diversity, inclusion, and global capability building, including leading global training programs and mentoring talent across countries and levels.

Your background

• You are highly skilled in working with finance and tax methodologies and enjoy navigating the complexities of international financial operations.
• You have 10+ years of experience in Finance or Tax, including at least 3 years leading teams across multiple jurisdictions, demonstrating established people‑management and leadership capabilities.
• You possess an enhanced knowledge of cross‑border project management and are highly adept at driving initiatives across multiple countries.
• You are passionate about leadership excellence and are innovative around coaching, inspiring, and developing diverse, cross‑country teams.
• You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Management, with a strong track record of applying structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented thinking.
• You are at ease communicating in English (excellent written and verbal skills required); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• You enjoy working in fast‑moving environments and are captivated by challenges that require agility, adaptability, perseverance, and tenacity.
