Job Purpose:

• Primary Responsibility: Leading and managing the water injection team in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner.
• Company Objectives: Ensuring that the company objectives and targets (volumes, OPEX, CAPEX) are achieved in line with WQ1FOD and WP&B commitments.
• Role: This role involves leading productive impact across WQ1FOD functions, identifying barriers to achieve maximizing Asset performance, and managing all water injection operation activities performed at WQ1 field.
• Areas of Responsibility: The coverage areas of responsibility include Water Injection, MOD300 Water Treatment Plant, HPI Station, Produced Water (PW) Treatment Facilities, Euphrates Water Intake Station, and WSW's with Water Injection Wells.
• Expectation: The Senior Superintendent is expected to ensure optimal operation and maintenance of these facilities to meet the company's water injection targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

• Lead the water injection team to meet company objectives.
• Participate in ALT meetings and drive performance improvements.
• Develop and review operation procedures.
• Manage interfaces with maintenance, Reservoir Dept., and Wellwork.
• Support internal and external Incident Management.
• Ensure training plans for all Water Injection personnel.
• Oversee and coach operators for safe and efficient production.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Supervise machinery startup and shutdown.
• Work with local operators to transfer knowledge and technical advice.

WI Operation Management:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the water injection section.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinating with other departments for smooth operations.
• Implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in the water injection process.
• Apply business acumen to enhance asset value and performance.
• Review and sanction deviations from work procedures.
• Advocate enforcement of FOD Policy.
• Facilitate Incident Management within and outside the organization.
• Steer the operations team towards safe and reliable operations.
• Minimize downtime and monitor water injection and oil productivity.

Training and Personnel Management:

• Ensure individual training plans for all personnel involved in Water Injection.
• Equip team members with basic equipment operations and troubleshooting skills.

KEY RESULTS:

• Team productivity increases over the quarter by implementing effective project management strategies.
• Employee turnover reduces in the fiscal year through the development and implementation of a comprehensive employee engagement program.
• Cost reduction is achieved within the department by identifying inefficiencies and implementing cost-saving measures.
• All project deadlines are met for the year by effectively managing project timelines and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:

• A bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field is required. A master's degree or higher is preferred.

Experience:

• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in oilfield operations, with a focus on water injection.
• At least 5 years in a key management position within an Oil & Gas field.
• Proven experience in managing water injection projects from inception to completion.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in using software related to oilfield operations and water injection processes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively relay information to team members and stakeholders.
• Advanced understanding of reservoir, well work, equipment integrity, and maintenance operations.
• In-depth knowledge of West Qurna 1 Project Philosophy, Design Specifications, regulations, and commercial agreements.
• Strong commitment to the highest standards of Safety, Health, and Environment aptitude.

SYSTEMS:

• Familiar with Maximo (Procurement System), Work Management System (WMS), Management Controls Reporting System (MCRS), and Asset Level Team Process.
