Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

The Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of indirect materials and services to support business operations. The role ensures cost efficiency, supplier compliance, and alignment with company procurement policies. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Robotics business in Vietnam. Main stakeholders are internal project team and external suppliers.

Working location: Bac Ninh or Ho Chi Minh City

You will be mainly accountable for:

Procurement Operations
• Manage the procurement process for indirect goods and services such as IT equipment, office supplies, facility services, logistics services, consulting services, and other operational needs.
• Create and manage Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) in the ERP system (e.g., SAP).
• Ensure purchases comply with internal procurement policies and approval procedures.

Supplier Management
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in accordance with company procurement guidelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and service reliability.
• Support contract negotiation and ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

Cost Control & Optimization
• Analyze spending and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Support budget control and ensure purchases align with cost center allocations.

Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as IT, Finance, HR, and Administration to understand procurement requirements.
• Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and invoice processing.

Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain procurement documentation including quotations, contracts, and supplier records.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP is preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Good analytical and cost management capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Experience in multinational company.
  • Knowledge of procurement compliance and internal control processes.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
