Position: Field HSE Manager
Experience: Minimum 10 years

Role Purpose

The Field HSE Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the Project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System for the BECCS Project, ensuring full compliance with Company standards, Client requirements, and applicable local legislation throughout construction and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the Project HSE Management System in line with Company requirements and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Ensure all site activities are executed safely and in compliance with Project HSE Plans, procedures, and Client requirements.
  • Act as the HSE focal point at site level, supporting Project Management, Construction, Commissioning teams, and Subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage HSE Plans, Emergency Response Plans, and Environmental Management Plans (waste, chemicals, water, spill prevention).
  • Manage HSE risks related to BECCS‑specific activities, including commissioning, SIMOPS, confined spaces, pressure testing, energy isolation, and hazardous substances.
  • Ensure compliance with local HSE and environmental legislation, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate HSE inspections, audits, monitoring activities, and performance reporting (KPIs).
  • Lead incident, near‑miss, and accident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions.
  • Interface with Client representatives and Authorities on all HSE matters.
  • Ensure effective HSE induction, training, and communication for all site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Manage and supervise the site HSE team.
  • Act as referent for Hot Works permit to work, in accordance with local regulations.

Subcontractor Management
  • Ensure subcontractors' compliance with contractual HSE requirements.
  • Review and approve subcontractor HSE documentation (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, PTW).
  • Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and implement corrective actions as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE roles within major industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in construction and commissioning phases.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE risk management, environmental protection, emergency response, and Permit to Work systems.
  • Experience interfacing with Clients, Authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Previous site‑based HSE management experience is mandatory.
