Where will you work as a Civil engineering construction supervisor (M/F) ?



We are looking for a Civil engineering construction supervisor (M/F) for one of our clients in the energy sector, to be based in La Balme les Grottes (FR-38).

Civil engineering construction supervisor (M/F): What will your duties and responsibilities be ?

As a Civil Engineering Construction Supervisor (M/F), you will report to the Site Manager. Working closely with the site teams, you will be responsible for managing ongoing projects and overseeing on-site operations. Your main responsibilities will include :

• Supervise discipline supervisors in charge of the work and promote teamwork within each discipline
• Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with approved plans and specifications and local regulations.
• Oversee the implementation of the site HSE plan and lead HSE activities among on-site personnel
• Ensure the implementation of the site Quality plan and promote quality on-site (quality acceptance, inspections, etc.)
• Adapt and implement a relevant, robust, and effective co-activity management system
• Co-animate, with the HSE department, meetings to manage co-activity for ongoing work by establishing regular coordination meetings (daily and/or weekly)
• Monitor and validate the progress of work against the schedule, and report any deviations or issues as needed
• Escalate operational issues that could affect the smooth execution of project work
• Document changes and progress in the work and compile daily reports on work performed and quantities completed
• Participate in drafting the weekly site report
• Review and approve the contractors' overall work schedule as well as the 3-week work schedule
• Ensure that contractor resources are mobilized appropriately.
• Support and coordinate with the Start-up team during the start-up, completion, and mechanical completion phases.
• Conduct post-project reviews with the Project and Construction Home Office team.

What profile and skills are required for this position of Civil engineering construction supervisor (M/F) ?

• You have at least 10 years of experience in construction and revamping projects at industrial sites
• You also have experience in planning and overseeing turnkey projects
• You have a strong commitment to health, safety, and the environment (HSE) and are able to serve as the liaison with the engineering department, understand requirements, and identify them on-site
• Ideally, you should have the following certifications and qualifications: scaffolding use, H0B0, AIPR, fire extinguisher use, harness use, SST
• You are fluent in French and English.
