In which organization will you work as a GIS Engineer (H/F)?



We are currently looking for a GIS Engineer (H/F) for one of our clients specialized in engineering and infrastructure, in order to strengthen their teams on projects related to the management and enhancement of geographic data.

Position based in Vitrolles, France.

GIS Engineer: What will be your missions and responsibilities?

Within a team dedicated to territorial data and cartography, you will be involved in the management, analysis and enhancement of geographic data related to infrastructure and network projects.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Administering, maintaining and developing Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Integrating, structuring and updating geographic data from various sources (CAD drawings, field surveys, GPS data, execution plans, existing databases)
• Exploiting and analyzing geospatial data to produce maps, spatial analyses and decision-support indicators
• Developing and automating certain GIS data processing and workflows
• Ensuring the quality, consistency and reliability of data integrated into GIS databases
• Producing thematic maps and geographic analyses for project and operational teams
• Contributing to the improvement of GIS methods and tools used within the organization
• Supporting teams in the use of GIS tools and sharing best practices
  
  

What profile and skills are required for this GIS Engineer position?

• Education
Master's degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Spatial Planning, or a related field.

• Experience
You have significant experience in the management and exploitation of geographic data, ideally in projects related to infrastructure or territorial planning.

• Skills

• Strong proficiency in GIS tools, particularly ArcGIS Pro
• Good knowledge of geospatial databases and GIS data formats
• Experience in spatial analysis and cartographic production
• Understanding of data flows and GIS data integration processes
• Strong analytical skills, rigor and good organizational abilities
• Ability to work in a team and interact with technical stakeholders
