Which organization will you join as an Experienced Biodiversity Engineer (M/F)?



We are looking for our client, a major player in engineering for infrastructure, energy, and development projects, to hire a Senior Biodiversity Engineer to strengthen their Biodiversity & Environment division in Vitrolles (13), France.

Senior Biodiversity Engineer - Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead biodiversity and natural habitat components in environmental impact studies.
  • Analyze impacts on habitats and protected species.
  • Prepare and manage complex regulatory dossiers (CNPN, protected species exemptions, environmental permits, Natura 2000 impact assessments).
  • Develop and monitor ERC (Avoid - Reduce - Compensate) measures and ecological compensation plans.
  • Support construction teams to ensure compliance with biodiversity measures and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise junior engineers and project officers.
  • Contribute to tenders and liaise with public and private project owners.

Candidate Profile and Required Skills

Education
  • Master's degree (Bac +5) in environmental science, biodiversity, or ecological engineering.

Experience
  • 10-12 years in environmental engineering, with proven expertise in French biodiversity regulations and CNPN dossiers.

Key Skills
  • Mastery of ERC sequence and compensatory measures.
  • In-depth knowledge of biodiversity regulatory framework.
  • Ability to write and present clear technical reports.
  • Technical leadership and autonomy.

Languages
  • Fluent in French; professional level English desired.
