Function Description

At iPS Powerful People, we are proactively building a pool of highly skilled Lifting Supervisors for upcoming offshore energy and maritime projects worldwide. As an Offshore Lifting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all lifting activities on board offshore vessels and platforms are executed safely, effectively, and in full compliance with international standards and project requirements. Your leadership and technical expertise will help safeguard personnel, equipment, and operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing and coordinating all lifting operations on board offshore assets
• Creating lifting plans and ensuring they are executed safely and efficiently
• Supervising riggers and deck crew during critical lifting activities
• Ensuring all lifting gear is certified, inspected, and used correctly
• Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings, and enforcing operational procedures
• Identifying risks and implementing control measures to maintain safe operations
• Communicating with bridge, deck, and project teams to align lifting activities with overall operations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant lifting regulations, company procedures, and industry standards

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Lifting Supervisor or similar role
• Valid offshore certificates
• Recognized lifting certification such as Lifting Supervisor, LOLER Competent Person, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of lifting regulations, safe lifting practices, and rigging techniques
• Ability to read and create lifting plans and risk assessments
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in multicultural offshore teams
