General PurposeThe Field Support Coordinator 1 (FSC Tier 1) is a critical member of the on-site team supporting the construction phase of building and connecting a wind power plant to the grid. More specifically, this role is responsible for facilitating site setup, transport, installation, mechanical completion, commissioning, and site close-out of one or more projects. The FSC Tier 1 follows defined processes and procedures for safety, inventory management, and documentation, with a strong focus on ensuring system and process compliance.ResponsibilitiesSupport site safety policies: maintain safety standards and environmental compliance. Ensure a clean and safe work environment, identify and mitigate hazards, participate in daily safety meetings, and complete required safety trainingProvide business and administrative support to project leadership for assigned projects and sites. Collect construction and site documentation, including assembly of job books for each turbine on siteProcess project documentation, including transport, installation, commissioning, QA/QC forms, and contractor timesheets; verify documentation for accuracy and maintain organized records (physical and electronic)Manage end-to-end construction inventory transactions, including receiving materials, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining inventory controlShip and receive parts, materials, and tools; track serial numbers; create and manage purchase orders/requests; and handle part consumption and returnsRegister non-conformance reports (NCRs) in SAP, upload supporting documentation, and ensure proper tracking of inventory and labor hoursTake direction from and communicate daily with the Construction Manager and Lead Technicians; assist with resolving site and customer issues in a timely and cost-effective mannerEstablish and maintain effective on-site communication with customer personnelSupport inventory control processes in collaboration with technicians and ensure availability of tools and spare parts on siteEnsure compliance with approved processes and provide basic SAP support, including troubleshooting and error resolutionSupport LEAN processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste on siteEnter daily updates into the Site Progress Log and upload as-built documentation to ensure accurate tracking of financials and schedulingPerform administrative tasks related to site setup, including vendor coordination and ordering of site materials and suppliesAssist in monitoring work hours, budgets, and project expendituresFollow defined work instructions and escalate issues to higher-level staff as neededSupport additional sites and contribute to resolving broader operational challengesPromote a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement-focused work environmentEssential FunctionsConduct physical inventory counts at construction project sitesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAPAbility to follow instructions and communicate effectively in EnglishValid driver's license requiredAbility to travel to various construction sitesAbility to lift up to 25 lbsAbility to work in varying and extreme temperaturesMaintain regular and reliable attendanceEducation, Training, and Skills RequiredHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in wind site support or similar project coordination roles, with exposure to project management and trainingExperience working with SAP or similar ERP systems (e.g., dispatch, planning, inventory, or operations roles)Demonstrated experience in planning, logistics, scheduling, and inventory controlStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and ensure adherence to processesAdvanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and SAPAbility to work independently and in team environments, including remote settingsStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical capabilityEffective time management and organizational skills; LEAN experience preferredApproximately 90% travel required; valid driver's license required; passport preferredPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach, and communicate effectively. The employee may also be required to stand, walk, and travel to remote construction sites. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
