Bilfinger UK are looking for a Commercial Lead to join us at our West Carr facility in Hull to support the Hinkley Point C project.

Commercial Manager is responsible for the cost and commercial management of Shop West Carr.

Responsible for delivery of commercial aspects of projects, contracts and proposals and ensure commercial delivery:

• Is timely and accurate - supports Bilfinger's financial timetable and internal and client reporting requirements.
• Optimises profitability - evidenced by improvements in margins of projects against budget.
• Evaluates and manages risk, value and variations to optimise commercial performance - evidence includes risk logs and effective risk/value management plans.
• Produces cost reports to support project performance reporting, management, accounting and valuation activities.
• Minimise company's liabilities by providing support and advice to line manager in respect of contractual obligations, notices and remedies.
• Manage valuation, application and invoicing process.
• Review and certify subcontractor accounts.
• Manage compilation of management accounts and forecasts.
• Ensure all commercial processes and procedures are adhered to in line with Company standards and contractual requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Minimum HNC or equivalent in engineering, quantity surveying or similar.

Desirable:

• Professional / post graduate commercial, business or management qualification. Membership of appropriate professional body

• Previous experience in Commercial role
• Experience of industrial services sector.
• Knowledge of best practice.
• Evidence of risk and change management.
