The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring items or services are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered upon agreed terms and conditions, seeking maximum value for the company including agreed time and cost. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality purchasing services on a day-to-day basis according to defined procedures, respecting quantity, quality and timing. This person ensures quality of services provided and contributes to improvement and knowledge management of purchasing processes.

Activities:

• Validate requirements before processing purchase order
• Verify all necessary parameters are properly maintained in the purchase request
• Negotiate with supplier, act as the gate keeper for variance or inflation.
• Create purchase order (PO) and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Ensure PO is created correctly (terms, currencies, quantity, etc.) and resolve any discrepancies
• Follow up with supplier on timely purchase order acknowledgement.
• Expedite and monitor purchase order delivery
• Manage day-to-day communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate shipment and logistics arrangements, as required.
• Liaise with account payable to resolve supplier invoicing or payment issues.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or related fields such as Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.
• 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing or related areas
• Experience in creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs), procurement processes, vendor management, and sourcing activities
• Understanding of financial processes related to procurement (e.g., payment tracking and follow-up)
• Familiarity with compliance standards and procurement policies
• Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Intermediate to advanced English level (written and verbal communication)
