Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

This role is contributing to the ELSP in San Luis Potosi, SLP ,MX Main stakeholders are America's users in teams as: Production, Real State, IS, Services, Facilities, Indirect Materials, Warehouse, Marketing, Finance, HR, etc.

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system according to purchase requisitions and standard procedures, confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions
• Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval
• Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine optimal value and drive savings for IM&S in the AMC region
• Supporting past due invoice resolution with the Payables team, suppliers and internal stakeholders, managing purchase requisitions conversion to Purchase Orders in SAP, and new supplier onboarding in Ariba systems
• Supporting strategies from the business and sourcing team, and participating in internal and external audits of IM&S operations processes

Qualifications for the role

• You have 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing operations, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• You are highly skilled in SAP and Ariba systems with demonstrated proficiency in purchase order management and supplier relationship tools
• You possess advanced knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier negotiations, and contract management best practices
• You are passionate about analytical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement (report analysis in Excel)
• You demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and with external suppliers
• You are fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Industrial engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
