Student Intern - Directional Drilling

SLB is looking for a motivated, curious, and hands-on student or recent graduate to join our Calgary team as a Summer Intern supporting Directional Drilling projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support technical teams while gaining exposure to a dynamic environment where engineering, processes, and technology come together to support SLB's operations. Interns in this program are assigned a defined project aligned with their background, interests, and development goals. Roles and Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day engineering and project activities related to Directional Drilling operations.
- Develop and deliver a project assigned at the beginning of the internship, tailored to the intern's academic background and interests.
- Assist with design-based and process-driven projects, including documentation, analysis, and coordination tasks.
- Collaborate with technicians, and drilling engineers to understand real-world operations and engineering workflows.
- Gain exposure to SLB's industry-leading tools, technologies, and engineering processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Currently enrolled in, or graduated within the past year from, an Engineering diploma or bachelor's program.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to or interest in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) is considered an asset.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
