Job Description
Responsibility and Authority
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring and operating all equipment within utility systems according to design parameters, ensuring performance standards and asset integrity requirements are met
- Actively monitor equipment condition and identify failures or discrepancies within assigned areas; initiate corrective actions or report through Work Order Requests
- Ensure first-line maintenance, chemical management, and laboratory activities are properly monitored, analyzed, optimized, and recorded
- Support the Senior Central Control Operator in managing and operating the Mobile Offshore Unit (MOU) in compliance with:
- Flag State requirements
- Regulatory compliance
- HSSEQ requirements
- Technical specifications and applicable rules and regulations
- Company vision, purpose, principles, philosophies, policies, and procedures
- Contractual requirements within the defined scope of work
- Responsible for managing Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) within the assigned area of responsibility:
- Take appropriate action in emergency situations as defined in the Emergency Response Plan
- Manage and monitor all active Permit to Work (PTW) and take action if conditions change
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping
- Ensure personnel are competent and properly trained for assigned tasks
- Promote continuous improvement and proactive risk prevention
- Encourage initiatives to improve HSSEQ performance
- Liaise with relevant departments for safe execution of operations such as bunkering with Offshore Support Vessels (OSV)
- Support achievement of unit and corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including development of action plans for performance improvement
- Ensure that any changes to technical specifications, operational parameters, or personnel follow the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Follow assigned training plans and complete competency requirements in line with the Competency Profile Task List (CPTL), progressing toward broader operational roles
- Mentor and coach junior field operators and assistants, ensuring competency development through training, assessment, and validation of qualifications
- Contribute to performance appraisal processes by providing feedback on competency development and performance of assigned personnel
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
Knowledge
- According to competence assurance matrix and competency task lists relevant to the position
- Required level of English proficiency
- Good knowledge of software tools, IT systems, ERP maintenance systems, and reporting tools
Education
- Minimum trade certification or relevant technical degree
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Relevant experience in operations and maintenance on FPSO or similar facilities
- Good knowledge of facility operations and maintenance
- Experience in operation and maintenance of process equipment
