SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operations & Service Delivery
- Lead and manage daily service center operations, including repair, maintenance, and preparation of downhole equipment.
- Ensure timely execution of service and delivery of sales orders in line with revenue plans and customer commitments.
- Conduct regular operational meetings to monitor workflow, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure alignment with operational targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
- Coordinate with internal departments and regional teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
2. Leadership & People Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary operations team including service, logistics, inventory, procurement, and operations support.
- Identify training needs and implement development plans in coordination with QHSE and training teams.
- Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure clear communication of objectives, KPIs, and expectations across all team members.
3. HSEQ & Quality Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with NOV HSEMS and QMS policies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead and support investigations of HSE and quality incidents, ensuring proper reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions within required timelines.
- Coordinate internal and external QHSE audits and annual reviews with regional teams and clients.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure proactive reporting and prevention of non-conformances.
- Capture and share lessons learned and best practices across the organization.
4. Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee inventory planning and control to maintain optimal stock levels in line with business needs.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts to support service operations and rental fleet maintenance.
- Monitor and improve inventory KPIs such as inventory turns, availability, and accuracy.
- Approve inventory requests including safety stock and one-time orders.
- Manage logistics and procurement activities in compliance with company policies and business requirements.
5. Asset & Rental Fleet Management
- Ensure optimal utilization, maintenance, and readiness of rental and newly built equipment.
- Monitor and manage asset performance in line with utilization and reliability KPIs.
- Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning, asset acquisition, and optimization across KSA and Bahrain.
- Ensure all equipment meets operational, customer, and international standards.
6. Financial & Cost Control
- Monitor and report Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), including preparation of monthly accruals.
- Track and optimize workshop and operational running costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensure alignment of operational activities with financial targets and budgets.
7. Facilities & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee service center infrastructure, layout, utilities, and overall facility maintenance.
- Ensure facilities support efficient workflow, productivity, and safety requirements.
- Continuously evaluate processes, methods, and equipment to optimize resource utilization.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and operational readiness.
8. Reporting & Performance Management
- Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across operations, inventory, assets, HSEQ, and financial performance.
- Provide regular operational and performance reports to management and regional teams.
- Ensure timely escalation and reporting (within 48 hours) of critical events, including:
- HSE incidents
- Major equipment failures (e.g., Lost in Hole)
- Revenue loss or declined jobs
- Customer complaints or audits
- Significant logistics or cost deviations
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in oil & gas operations, with strong exposure to downhole tools, service centers, or workshop environments
- Proven track record in managing multi-functional operations, including service, logistics, inventory, procurement, and asset management
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop, and drive performance across diverse teams
- Solid understanding of service center operations, equipment repair/maintenance processes, and rental fleet management
- In-depth knowledge of QHSE standards, compliance requirements, and audit processes within the oilfield services sector
- Strong operational mindset with demonstrated ability to improve efficiency, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in inventory control, supply chain coordination, and material planning, with focus on availability and cost optimization
- Sound financial acumen, including experience managing COGS, budgeting, cost control, and operational performance metrics
- Experience with asset utilization, CAPEX planning, and lifecycle management of downhole equipment
- Ability to manage operations under pressure, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across regional and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and operational reporting tools
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with NOV systems, processes, and product lines
