Your role:
The Local Division Marketing Manager for Energy Industries in Norway is accountable for developing and driving an in‑country marketing strategy that directly supports Northern Europe regional priorities and the business ambitions for Norway.
This role requires strong strategic leadership, the ability to shape direction proactively, and disciplined execution across campaigns, events, digital, and customer engagement. Operating within the Northern Europe region, the role ensures strong sales alignment, high‑quality execution, and early‑journey customer preference-building.

Your responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Own the annual Norway marketing plan, aligned to Northern Europe regional and Norway strategic pillars and objectives
- Shape strategic focus areas for the country and define marketing priorities that deliver the greatest impact
- Translate regional and global initiatives into clear, measurable Norwegian execution plans
- Prioritise focus and sequencing to ensure meaningful outcomes and quality over quantity
Campaign & Execution Leadership
- Lead Norwegian execution of ABM campaigns, digital campaigns, evergreen nurture programs, and ABB‑hosted or external events
- Work closely with the regional team on digital, content, branding and events teams to ensure consistent and efficient deployment
- Support localisation and optimisation of marketing assets to reflect Norwegian customer needs and market dynamics
Sales Alignment & Enablement
- Partner closely with key stakeholders to translate business priorities into effective marketing strategies, ensuring clarity, alignment, and measurable impact.
- Partner closely with Norway sales leadership to align on priorities, target accounts, and timing
- Ensure all campaigns and events have clear sales ownership, strong follow-up, and measurable pipeline impact
- Support development and localisation of sales enablement materials relevant to the Norwegian market
- Act as a strategic partner to key stakeholders to translate business insights into effective marketing actions
Content, Communications & Market Leadership
- Localise and activate global and regional content for Norway; create local content where it adds clear strategic value
- Identify and elevate customer success stories, proof points, and references
- Support local leadership with external‑facing communications and presentations
- Strengthen ABB's brand visibility and thought‑leadership position in the Norwegian energy industries landscape
Measurement & Budget Ownership
- Own the Norwegian marketing budget, ensuring spend aligns to strategic priorities and delivers measurable outcomes
- Use leading indicators and outcome-based metrics to assess and optimise performance
- Provide clear input into regional reviews, retrospectives, and strategic planning cycles
Qualifications for the Role:
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related business discipline, with 5+ years of B2B marketing experience (energy, industrial, or technology sectors beneficial)
- Proven track record of delivering measurable marketing outcomes, with clear examples of campaigns, programs, or initiatives that drove business impact
- Demonstrated experience operating within a complex matrix organisation, balancing HUB, Global and local priorities while maintaining clarity and forward momentum
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with evidence of working effectively with sales leaders, senior management, and technical teams
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics into clear customer value propositions
- Experience developing and executing digital campaigns, events, ABM programs, and customer engagement activities
- Comfortable representing ABB externally when needed e.g. at key events, customer engagements, or speaking opportunities
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CMS tools (e.g. Pardot, Sitefinity)
- Fluent in Norwegian with excellent English communication skills
