About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Enterprise Integration Architect to shape, govern, and advance bp's enterprise‑wide integration landscape across Digital Core domains. You will define integration strategy, guide architectural decisions, and ensure bp's platforms, systems, and data are securely and seamlessly connected. This role plays a key part in simplifying our technology landscape and enabling future‑ready, scalable digital ecosystems.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, cybersecurity, data teams, and programme delivery partners to ensure integration patterns align with architectural guardrails, security standards, and bp's transformation agenda.

This role plays a key part in simplifying our technology landscape and enabling future‑ready, scalable digital ecosystems.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, cybersecurity, data teams, and programme delivery partners to ensure integration patterns align with architectural guardrails, security standards, and bp's transformation agenda.
What You Will Do
- Define and maintain integration architecture roadmaps aligned with Digital Core strategy and simplification objectives.
- Architect secure, scalable integration solutions across cloud, on‑premise, SaaS, and event‑driven environments.
- Champion enterprise integration practices including API‑led design, event‑driven architecture, reusable patterns, and iHub adoption.
- Guide teams on selecting appropriate integration technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, API Management, event mesh, AppFlow, or iHub.
- Develop decision frameworks, integration blueprints, and reusable guardrails to support faster, safer delivery.
- Collaborate with Digital Core architects and domain owners to ensure designs meet governance requirements (ARB/KDD), security frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Partner with product, engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, and data teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration quality and operational resilience.
- Promote reliable integration operations and ensure alignment with bp standards for identity, access, data protection, and risk management.
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise in integration technologies across cloud (Azure/AWS), platform services, hybrid systems, and SaaS.
- Strong understanding of synchronous/asynchronous patterns, domain‑driven design, microservices, event‑driven architecture, and API‑led connectivity.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, event mesh, or platforms like MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and modern engineering practices.
- Ability to influence enterprise‑wide integration strategy and create scalable frameworks and decision models.
- Validated experience delivering large‑scale integration solutions across complex, multi‑platform environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate architectural decisions and influence stakeholders.
- Experience working in global, federated teams and driving alignment across multiple domains.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to cybersecurity, AI/ML, automation, or enterprise platforms.
- TOGAF certification, cloud architecture certifications (Azure/AWS), or SAP Integration Suite / API Management certification.
- Growth mindset and strong interest in emerging technology trends.
