Wood is currently searching for a talented Safety Intern to support our Operations business focusing on chemical manufacturing facilities and small capital projects. This opportunity is onsite in Narrows, VA, and expected to be 10-12 weeks.

The Safety Inter will assist safety coordination, compliance audits, and safety reporting across office and field activities while driving continuous improvement through lessons learned; building strong relationships with teams and clients, ensuring timely communication and strict adherence to company safety policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities
- Assist with daily safety coordination
- Assist with compliance audits to ensure adherence to Celanese corporate and site safety standards
- Assist with the coordination of safety documentation and reporting across office and field operations
- Contribute to lessons learned exercises
- Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner
- Comply with all company policies including safety policies.

Expected:
- Working on bachelor's degree in a Safety related field
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
