Wood is currently sourcing for a Motorman Mechanic to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.

Based on an FPSO the Motorman is required to assist with the planned maintenance and repair of the facility's, engine room and auxiliary equipment, regular inspection of machinery, as well as the bilge, pump rooms, and tanks.

Location: offshore Equatorial Guinea, West Africa

Rotation Work Pattern: 4 weeks on 4 weeks off, 7-day week 12-hour day

National EG candidates will be given preference for this position

RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Responsibilities and Activities

• Carry out planned maintenance, repair work and shutdowns.
• Required to assist with the planned maintenance and repair of the facility's, engine room and auxiliary equipment, regular inspection of machinery, as well as the bilge, pump rooms, and tanks.
• Be aware of class and flag survey requirements and undertake the preparation of machinery or equipment for survey.
• Be familiar with the Facility's plant and machinery.
• Ensure knowledge of safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, Company policy and instructions.
• Maintain accurate records which shall be readily retrievable and conform to the Facility Management Systems, prepare data for entry in the daily report and SAP.
• Liaise with the Engine room Lead, engine room operator on ordering of stores and spare gear and maintenance of onboard stock levels, to ensure that the Facility's operational capabilities and safety are not jeopardised.
• Carry out bunkering operations under the leadership of the Engine Room Lead and ensure that all preventative measures are taken when bunkering offshore.
• Assist engine room watches during offtakes

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements for this role:

Education & Experience:

• Relevant Marine Qualification with tanker endorsement
• Several years previous experience working as Motorman on a FPSO or similar facility with a knowledge of tanker system and tanker operations
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of oil & gas process equipment
• BOSIET & MIST Certification

Desirable:

• Communicate effectively in English orally and written
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural Team environment
