What's the role
As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that drive meaningful business impact, ensuring each initiative meets its objectives while staying within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You'll typically manage small to medium‑sized projects of moderate complexity, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, coordinating resources, and proactively removing roadblocks to enable successful outcomes. In addition to end‑to‑end project ownership, you'll contribute to delivery assurance efforts and support the enhancement of tools, standards, processes, and PMO activities - giving you the opportunity to broaden your expertise, influence best practices, and grow your career in a supportive, well‑structured project management environment.

What you'll be doing
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from planning to closure.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including staff and suppliers, across organizational boundaries.
- Control scope through structured change management to meet time, cost, and quality goals.
- Develop and reconcile financial forecasts and resource plans.
- Execute stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks early, and escalate as needed.
- Apply Shell's project management, IT assurance, and control standards.
- Build trust with sponsors and stakeholders; handle conflict and tough messages professionally.
- Make informed decisions even with limited data.
- Motivate teams and remove obstacles under pressure.
- Work effectively in a global, virtual, and outsourced environment.
- Tailor communications to suit different stakeholder audiences.
What you bring
- 4-year bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
- 9 to 12 years of total IT experience including 2+ years leading projects or workstreams
- Experience delivering application projects with multiple workstreams and business/technical change
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; Agile experience required
- Skilled in leading Agile projects and guiding stakeholders; Agile certifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of Shell's Project Delivery Framework (PDF)
- Demonstrates strong understanding of the SLMT and Shell Energy America landscape, having successfully delivered projects across SLMT and SEAm business domains. This contextual awareness enables effective decision making and alignment with business priorities.
- Good knowledge of Salesforce platform
- Executes projects in a KPI driven and outcome focused manner, consistently monitoring progress, proactively identifying potential risks, and formulating robust mitigation plans to ensure delivery remains on track.
- Exhibits excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, effectively collaborating with cross functional teams, business partners, and leadership to drive alignment, resolve issues, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Demonstrates servant leadership, team empowerment, and transparency
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies
- PMP and Agile scrum certification is a must
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
