Job Description

The FBT Intercompany Hub Team Manager is accountable for leading a high‑performing team to deliver accurate, compliant intercompany accounting and reporting services. This role ensures the effective application of Intercompany (IC) accounting policies, robust internal controls, and adherence to Group accounting, reporting, and control frameworks. It is responsible for overseeing the integrity of end‑to‑end IC processes, systems, and supporting tools to enable high‑quality financial
outcomes.
The incumbent will drive operational excellence by embedding strong financial governance, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, and providing expert guidance across the intercompany domain-consistent with the broader compliance, stewardship,
Performance, and transformation expectations seen in Intercompany roles across FBT Finance. They will champion continuous
improvement, proactively identify process and system enhancement opportunities, and ensure conformance with internal and
external requirements, including audit, policy, and procedural standards.
Additionally, the role plays a key part in building capability within the team, handling user problems, supportincollaboratorer
engagement, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the Global Intercompany Hub
3. Key Accountabilities
Operational Delivery & Process Excellence
• Lead and develop the team to implement end-to-end intercompany financial accounting and reporting processes,
ensuring all activities are recorded accurately, reported timely, and delivered with high standards of integrity,
transparency, and operational excellence.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external collaborator relationships to enable smooth delivery of accounting
and reporting activities, providing expert support on requests, issues, projects, audits, and planning cycles.
• Drive simplification, standardisation, and continuous improvement by empowering the team to design and
implement process and system enhancements, ensuring guidelines are shared and embedded across the wider
Intercompany Hub.
• Oversee the analysis, explanation, and validation of financial reports and account balances, ensuring insights are
reliable, data is retained appropriately, and outputs support informed decision-making.
• Demonstrate strong technical capability across SAP, Blackline, AO tools and other IC systems to guide operations,
troubleshooting, and solutioning.

Leadership & People Management
• Deliver all people-management responsibilities in line with organisational policies and legal requirements.
• Plan, assign, and guide work for team members, ensuring clarity of priorities, expectations, and deliverables.
• Set goals, provide timely performance feedback, and conduct appraisals for direct reports as required.
• Mentor and develop talent by providing guidance, stretch opportunities, and long-term career development support,
safeguard retention of key talent.
• Foster a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the team.
• Manage resource allocation and workforce planning to support FBT service delivery, controls, and cost
requirements-ensuring flexibility to respond to variable business demand.
Business Understanding & Strategic Partnership
• Demonstrate strong understanding of bp's business context to ensure delivery of high-quality accounting, reporting,
and control outcomes aligned with business needs.
• Partner effectively with People & Culture and relevant teams to ensure the organization has the right capabilities,
skills, and experience to operate in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes-delivering solutions that are better, faster, more efficient, and
aligned with bp's "play to win" approach

Education & Experience
• Finance & Accounting graduate or qualified professional (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) with 15+ years of proven experience
delivering end-to-end financial accounting and reporting processes with a strong record of operational excellence.
• Extensive Record-to-Report (R2R) operational experience, with deep understanding of accounting, reporting, controls
and financial governance frameworks; prior experience managing high-performing teams with full delivery accountability.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP financial modules, intercompany functionality, and reporting tools; hands-on
experience with BlackLine, AO/analysis tools, and other finance systems used in IC operations.
• Demonstrated ability in process re-engineering, standardisation, and continuous improvement, with a strong drive for
process transformation and digital enablement.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Energy industry with sound understanding of sector-specific terminology, business
processes, and operational models.
• Proven involvement in process transformation initiatives, including design, implementation, and organisational change
across finance operations.
• In-depth knowledge of R2R processes, including key controls, reconciliations, benchmarks, metrics, and risk & control
considerations.
• Flexibility to work across global time zones, including US time zones, to support business demands
