They are hiring a Mechanical Subject Matter Expert to support final commissioning and lead mechanical operations once the site is live.The RoleYou will serve as the primary technical authority for all critical mechanical and cooling systems on site. You will support the commissioning team through go-live and then take ownership of day-to-day mechanical operations, maintenance, and incident response.What You Will DoCritical Mechanical SystemsOwn the operation and maintenance of chillers, CRAC units, ACMV systems, cooling towers, hydraulic systems, and associated pipework and controlsPerform and supervise hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical faults and cooling failuresSupport witness testing and commissioning of mechanical systems ahead of go-liveChange and Procedure ManagementExecute and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for all mechanical workApply LOTO protocols consistently and enforce compliance across vendors and contractorsContribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs and EOPs for mechanical systemsIncident and Risk ManagementLead root cause analysis for mechanical and cooling incidentsEscalate and document incidents within required timeframesIdentify mechanical safety hazards and implement corrective actionsMaintenance and Asset ManagementPlan and execute preventive maintenance programmes for all mechanical assetsMonitor system performance data to detect degradation earlyTrack asset condition and recommend timely upgrades or replacementsCompliance and DocumentationMaintain accurate mechanical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and maintenance recordsEnsure all mechanical systems meet regulatory and certification requirements in TaiwanVendor ManagementSupervise and qualify mechanical contractors and vendors working on siteEnsure all third-party work meets critical environment standardsOn-Call RequirementsAvailable 24x7 for after-hours, public holiday, and emergency supportWhat You NeedDegree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent discipline5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with critical mechanical and cooling systems in data centres, industrial facilities, or mission-critical environmentsStrong working knowledge of chillers, CRAC units, ACMV systems, hydraulic systems, and cooling infrastructureExperience in commissioning, testing, and defect management of mechanical systemsFamiliarity with LOTO, change control, and SOP/MOP developmentData centre certifications such as CDCP or equivalent are an advantage
