Job Requirement: Customer Service Specialist - Planning Support (SAP & Excel Automation Specialist)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical candidate with strong expertise in SAP and Excel automation to support planning, scheduling, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing material requirements, optimizing planning processes, and building automated solutions to enhance accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day planning activities, including material requirement planning (MRP), purchase requisition tracking, and order scheduling using SAP.
  • Monitor stock levels, track shortages, and ensure timely availability of materials for production.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based automation tools, dashboards, and templates to streamline planning workflows.
  • Apply advanced Excel functions (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, formulas, pivot tables) to automate repetitive tasks and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Extract, analyze, and validate SAP data to support decision-making and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, logistics, quality) to ensure seamless planning execution.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for delays, variances, or supply constraints and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare periodic reports-inventory status, aging, forecast accuracy, plan adherence-with automated outputs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation in planning processes.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
  • SAP proficiency in modules such as MM, PP, APO/IBP, or relevant planning modules.
  • Strong command of Excel automation, including:
    • VBA/macros
    • Power Query
    • Power Pivot
    • Advanced formulas & dynamic tables
    • Dashboard creation
  • Ability to extract/transform SAP datasets and integrate them with Excel tools.
  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI is a plus).

Educational & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in planning, supply chain, or related operational roles.
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP and Excel automation in a professional environment.
