Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Various

The Project Manager (PM) is the apical position in the Project and They reports directly to Project Director/ Sponsor. They:

• Ensures the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organizational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives, including the profit ones and ensures the observance of Comany procedures and practices
• Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with the Client requirements, within time and cost constrains and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures
• Achieve profit objectives ensuring the observance of Saipem procedures and practices

Main responsibilities include:

• Represents Company towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing contractual aspects
• Behaves in accordance with the Company leadership Model and make sure the full PMT does the same
• Ensures the proper analysis and the review of contractual documents
• Ensures the implementation of methodologies related to risk/opportunity, knowledge management, lessons learned, cost of non-quality and the respect of Saipem Golden Rules and Silver Guide Lines
• Ensures the implementation of the project strategies and the project activities planning
• Supervises all project activities with regards to Quality, HSE and Sustainability topics supported by the other project organization roles
• Stays abreast of the evolution of and implement the project management tools and methodologies
• Ensures the issue and the implementation of all required home office and site procedures
• Approves and supervise planning and cost control activities supported by the other project organization roles, implementing the corrective actions needed to achieve the established project objectives and ensure the issue of project reports (including the economics)
• Facilitates generation of Project and Portfolio Dashboards / reports to the Business Line Management
• Supervises home office engineering and procurement activities supported by the other project organization roles
• Supervises site/yard and offshore activities supported by the other project organization roles
• Negotiates with the Client to reach agreement on the outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the variation orders
• Ensures the issue of project reports to the Client
• Maintains a valuable trusting relationship with the Client and monitor its satisfaction, supported by the other project organization roles
• Monitors final back charges to be applied to any third party (vendors, subcontractors, etc.)
• Ensures the collection of project feedbacks issuing final project reports (e.g. Close-out Report, root cause analysis, etc.)
• Ensures the issue of completion and delivery certificates
• Ensures the assistance to the Client during the guarantee period

Previous experience may include, but not be limited to:

• Exposure to different roles within the project management field such as design management, planning, contract management, and/ or cost management
• Record of managing global large teams (both multi-cultural and multi-location) in multi-disciplinary projects
• Demonstrable experience in budget and cost analysis and management.
• Managed Tender and Post Contract Stages.

Minimum Requirement

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas project management
• Experience in large scale projects
• Experience with Majors Clients
• Experience in managing projects executed in Joint Venture
• Experience on modularized projects
• Experience in delivering projects in accordance with structured lifecycles.
• Experience in project reviews and governance activities.
• Commercial awareness.
• Proven background of resourcefulness under pressure.

• Judgment problem solving.
• Strong leadership skills/proven leadership skills and abilities.
