We are now looking for a Technical Safety Officer to join our Safety & Compliance Team at East Midlands Airport. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the safety and airworthiness of our operations and ensuring we continue to deliver our customer promise: Excellence. Simply Delivered.

About the role
As a Technical Safety Officer, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety performance and help maintain the highest standards across maintenance and airworthiness activities.
You will:
• Conduct safety investigations and risk assessments both independently, and alongside other team members
• Collaborate with internal teams and external maintenance organisations to drive continuous safety improvement
• Provide technical advice to the Safety team on maintenance and airworthiness matters
• Contribute to safety objectives, performance indicators and targets
• Promote the safety management system across the business, especially in maintenance and airworthiness environments
• Work with Flight Data Monitoring and Airworthiness teams to analyse data for emerging trends or safety events
What you'll need to succeed
Required
• Strong knowledge of UK CAA and EASA Part 145, Part M and Part CAMO Regulations
• Experience working in a role connected to an airline, an MRO, or a Safety/Compliance department within these organisations
• Recent experience conducting root cause analysis in an airline or MRO environment (training available)
• Familiarity with computerised safety management software
Desirable (not essential)
• CAA Part 66 B1/B2 licence (current or previously held), A Licence, aeronautical engineering degree, or at least 3 years' experience in a CAMO or Part 145 MRO
• Experience using iQSMS Reporting Module
• Exposure to or experience with Flight Data Monitoring
