Job description

2. Main Responsibilities

2.1 HSE & SIMOPS Oversight
• Ensure Contractor compliance with TotalEnergies HSE standards.
• Verify strict control of live systems and interface with energized electrical panels.
• Review risk assessments and JSAs prior to critical activities
• Challenge unsafe practices and stop works if necessary.
2.2 Contractor Supervision & Assistance
• Supervise Contractor Instrumentation Pre-Commissioning activities.
• Verify adequacy of manpower, certified technicians, calibrated instruments, and testing
equipment.
• Ensure calibration benches and tools comply with project requirements.
• Assist Contractor in resolving technical or interface issues when required.
• Ensure proper sequence between:
o Pre-Commissioning
o Commissioning
• Ensure subsystem boundaries are respected in line with OPERCOM philosophy.

2.3 Technical Oversight - Instrumentation Scope
Witness, review and validate Contractor execution of:
• Instrument calibration (pressure, temperature, level, flow transmitters)
• PSV / safety instrument checks (as applicable within scope)
• Loop checking (field to DCS/ESD/PLC)
• Marshalling cabinet inspections
• JB (Junction Box) inspection and continuity verification
• Impulse air tubing and leak testing
• DCS / ESD I/O verification (interface with ICSS team)
• Cause & Eect (C&E) test preparation support
Ensure no loop closure or live signal testing occurs without Company validation.

2.4 Documentation & Quality Control
• Review and approve:
o Test procedures
o Method statements
o Calibration certificates
o Inspection & Test Records (ITRs)
o Loop folders
o Pre-Commissioning dossiers
• Monitor punch list identification and closure (A/B/C categories as per project).
• Ensure redline markups are properly reflected in loop diagrams and hook-ups.
• Review final Instrumentation Pre-Commissioning dossier before handover.
• Raise observations and request corrective actions when required.

Profile
• Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum 5 years Oil & Gas experience
• Minimum 3 years in Instrumentation Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning roles
• Previous experience in SIMOPS environments
• Familiarity with TotalEnergies General Specifications preferred
