Business Manager - Commercial and Operations

In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee and manage the full scope of operations within the unit. Each day, you will lead project execution, supply chain, engineering, and field service activities. You will also showcase your expertise by driving operational performance, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and integrity standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and business targets.

This role reports to the Business Manager - Commercial and Operations in Algeria. The main stakeholders are sales teams, customers, and cross-functional business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the Operations of the unit including Project Execution, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Field Service in line with strategy and targets
• Monitoring plan implementation and tracking deviations to initiate corrective actions across Operations
• Preparing annual revenue budgets, overseeing performance, and addressing cost-related issues to ensure adherence to allocated resources
• Developing programs, goals, and metrics to achieve high operational performance and optimize working capital
• Ensuring alignment with the overall value chain to meet customer expectations on quality, service levels, and lead time
• Driving continuous improvement culture, methodologies, and processes across the organization
• Assessing risks and implementing plans to ensure health, safety, and equipment protection standards
• Supporting Sales teams by improving understanding of customer requirements and identifying operational constraints and solutions
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ABB code of conduct, including health, safety, and environmental standards

Qualifications:

• You have 10-15 years of experience in project management execution with strong technical skills, preferably in Oil and Gas or Energy sectors
• You demonstrate 5-10 years of experience in managing people, including leading cross-functional teams
• You show expertise in budget and performance management, including managing KPIs such as revenues and operations
• You possess strong knowledge of end-to-end operations management, including procurement, supply chain, and field service
• Technical degree in Engineering (mandatory), with an additional degree in Business Administration considered a plus
• You are at ease communicating in English, Arabic, and French
• You demonstrate strong capabilities in data analysis, reporting, and operational decision-making
• You exhibit leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with a focus on team development and organizational effectiveness
