Job Purpose:
The Subsurface Manager is responsible for leading petroleum engineering and subsurface-related functions of the asset to ensure optimal reserves development, efficient production, and maximized hydrocarbon recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all subsurface activities including reservoir engineering, production engineering, geology, and geophysics.
- Supervise subsurface characterization and modeling to support asset evaluation and development planning.
- Act as the technical authority for subsurface disciplines within the asset.
- Provide technical leadership for conceptual design and feasibility studies related to drilling, completions, reservoir, and production engineering.
- Ensure integration of subsurface data to optimize field development plans and recovery strategies.
- Support well planning and execution, ensuring alignment with reservoir objectives.
- Monitor reservoir performance and recommend optimization strategies to enhance production.
- Collaborate with drilling, facilities, and operations teams to ensure integrated asset management.
- Review and validate technical studies, simulations, and development scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, HSE policies, and regulatory requirements in Libya.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in subsurface or petroleum engineering roles.
- Proven experience in reservoir management, field development, and production optimization.
- Experience in complex environments (onshore/offshore, mature fields, or high-risk areas) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of subsurface modeling, reservoir simulation, and integrated asset studies.
- Previous leadership or managerial experience is required.
