Overview
Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
The Junior Environmental Scientist/Technician role will support Site Assessment & Remediation type projects by largely assisting with and learning fundamental tasks related to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, including groundwater monitoring and sampling, and remedial excavation. This role is ideal for someone organized, detail oriented, and eager to grow their experience with multidisciplinary environmental teams. Responsibilities include contributing to project preparation, compilation and review of historical records, field work planning/debrief tasks, Phase I and Phase II ESA technical report writing/peer reviews and project close-out tasks. The role will also involve close collaboration with the assigned Project Manager as well as the project execution team.

Your role
About you
- Bilingual (English/French).
- A post-secondary education in a related field (Certificate, Diploma, Degree, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with proven advanced skills in utilizing Excel.
- Self-starter with the competence to take initiative and go beyond what the job situation requires.
- Willingness to learn new skills and serve as support in a variety of capacities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to change priorities to meet client and/or project requirements/deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work across a variety of time zones.
- Having one or more of the following technical/software skills would be considered an asset: Earthsoft EQuIS, GIS., gINT, AutoCAD 2014 or higher.
- Knowledge of sciences and/or environmental industry.
- Data entry for all laboratory and field requests to ensure quality table creation and control.
- Exercising independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and organizing work assignments.
- Collaborative mindset and capable of maintaining good working relationships with office management and staff across all offices.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (Certificate, Diploma, Degree, etc.)
- We are looking for min 0 to 2 years' of experience in relevant field.
