Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Contract Management leads all contract execution and administration activities for third‑party services, engineering, and construction. With sourcing largely complete, this role is heavily focused on construction‑phase execution, overseeing Time & Material (T&M), unit rate, and reimbursable contracts.
Success requires deep experience in complex industrial project environments, strong commercial acumen, and advanced capability with SAP and LEMS-driven processes.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Execution & Administration
• Lead administration of third‑party service, engineering, and construction contracts.
• Manage T&M, unit rate, and reimbursable construction contracts with strict adherence to contractual terms.
• Oversee EPC/EPCM contract execution, amendments, and commercial interfaces.
Cost, Change & Performance Management
• Validate and manage T&M cost controls across labor, equipment, materials, and in directs.
• Review, analyze, and approve contractor invoices, ensuring alignment with rates and documentation.
• Lead development, evaluation, negotiation, and approval of change orders.
• Monitor contractor performance against commercial, contractual, and schedule obligations.
Stakeholder & Systems Leadership
• Serve as the primary commercial interface across construction, engineering, procurement, finance, project controls, and contractors.
• Manage diverse internal and external stakeholders while balancing execution needs and commercial risk.
• Use SAP for commitments, cost tracking, accruals, forecasting, and reporting.
• Apply LEMS processes to ensure disciplined execution, transparency, and governance compliance.
Risk & Governance
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities during construction execution and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure alignment with project governance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Support claims avoidance through proactive administration and early issue resolution.
Qualifications
• Extensive contract management experience on large construction or industrial projects (energy, hydrogen, or heavy industrial preferred).
• Proven experience managing T&M and unit rate construction contracts during execution.
• Ability to manage multiple complex contracts in fast‑paced site environments.
• Strong commercial judgment and experience supporting construction execution teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical & Professional Skills
• Advanced expertise in T&M contract administration, cost validation, and rate analysis.
• Strong understanding of construction contract structures, EPC/EPCM models, and service agreements.
