The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for leading the project teams in Cost Control, Planning and Risk to ensure that the project objectives are met in terms of budget, on time delivery and to track and report on project deliverables and targets.

Activities:

• Prepare internal and external progress reports detailing project status, progress, problem areas, and risk mitigation actions.
• Create, distribute, and follow up on Minutes of Meetings and Action Trackers from meetings with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare project presentations.
• Assist the Project Manager in all contractual matters, including notices and variation orders.
• Follow up and expedite the progress of orders placed with suppliers, in coordination with Supply Chain and Engineering.
• Coordinate the compilation of data books in conjunction with Document Control, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Coordinate logistics with the Supply Chain team.
• Prepare internal Management of Change requests and follow up on approvals.
• Track and inform the Project Manager and Cost Controller about revenue recognition milestone achievements.
• Monitor project spending and report variances.
• Maintain Project Controls KPIs, including Engineering, Procurement, Document Control, Cost, Schedule, and Risk metrics.
• Promote continuous improvement within project processes.

Minimum requirements:

• Engineering degree, preferably mechanical, petroleum, industrial/production, or chemical engineering.
• Project management courses/certifications are a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
• Experience with Visual Basic and Power BI is a plus.
• Ability to interpret Industrial Drawings and Schematics.
• Up to 10% travel to fabrication yards, client offices, and vendor facilities, domestically and internationally.
