We are currently seeking a Data Governance Lead for Operational Excellence (OE), reporting directly to the VP Data, AI, New Tech & Software Engineering to join our Data, New Tech and Software Engineering team based in Nanterre, Paris, France.

About the role:

Overview:

The Data Governance Lead for Operational Excellence (OE) is responsible for defining, implementing, and driving the companys data governance framework to ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset across the for Operational Excellence organization. This role oversees the establishment of standards, policies, and best practices for data management, including Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, data ownership, and data lifecycle management.

Working closely with Digiteam and for Operational Excellence Data Domain Owners across all business entities, the Data Governance Lead for Operational Excellence coordinates and guides data management initiatives to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance in the use of corporate data.

The Data Governance Lead for Operational Excellence will be part of Digiteam. She/he will report to the VP Data, AI new technologies and Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that digital initiatives within the Digital Acceleration Program comply with the data governance framework and provide recommendations at each dedicated project gate for Operational Excellence scope.
• Identify and propose necessary data management initiatives and enrich the backlog accordingly (e.g., data standardization, master data creation, data quality remediation, metadata definition, data privacy with the DPO, and data protection).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Digiteam, Data Domain Owners, and Data Stewards to deploy governance practices and support data initiatives to ensure clear data ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management practices across all data domains.
• Drive improvements in data quality, accessibility, and consistency, ensuring alignment with company standards and data management practices.
• Build and manage the Data Management Backlog with Data Domain Owners and Data Stewards.
• Prepare and facilitate OE data governance committees and animate the network of Data Domain Owners and Data Stewards to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Define and drive the data governance roadmap and maturity plan aligned with the company data strategy.
• Guide team members to ensure initiatives are completed and deliverables are achieved within the defined schedule and budget.
• Monitor technology advancements and support pilot initiatives and benchmarking activities to improve data management capabilities.

• Experience in program and/or project management (7+ years minimum)
• Experience working on data management topics and/or data delivery
• Very good understanding of IT and Business drivers around Data
• Strong leadership to onboard the business users on data governance & management topics
• Relational ease, adaptable to different hierarchical levels both technical and business
• Very good knowledge of TEN business and organization
• Good knowledge on governance and data tools (Cataloging, Lineage, MDM, Quality, etc.).
• Good knowledge of data governance processes and regulations
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to listen actively to raised needs
• Proficiency in English
